Germ Evolution docs

Every trade of $GERM evolves Germ

Germ is a living bacterium on germevolution.live. Every buy and sell of the $GERM token gives him evolution points. He grows new body parts through 100 stages and moves through ten lab vessels, from a Petri dish to a sealed biosphere. After that he keeps mutating without end. Every buy also lands a colony in one shared Petri dish that never resets, where strains of every holder fight for food and for Germ’s feeding ground.

How Germ evolves

Every buy and sell of $GERM is a step of evolution. The site watches every trade of the token on Solana and turns it into evolution points (EP). When the points reach the next stage, Germ grows the part that stage gives him, in front of everyone.

Points per trade

SOL

Stage costs

Sells shape Germ

Sells still move Germ forward, at 70% of a buy. They also build up sell stress: the share of points that came from sells over the last 200 trades. In generation ∞ stress pushes mutations toward armor: spines, plating and ice orbits.

Counted once, kept forever

Each trade is counted once by its transaction signature and written to the evolution ledger. After a restart the server replays the ledger, so Germ never loses a stage and never counts the same trade twice. The Evolution tab lists every stage with a link to the trade that reached it.

Eras and vessels

The first 100 stages are written in advance: ten eras of ten stages, each in its own vessel. Every tenth stage is a discovery that changes Germ a lot. Open an era to see all its stages.

Generation ∞

Vessels without end

Every 10 mutations Germ moves into a new vessel. After the eighth the cycle starts again in a new color.

    The shared dish

One Petri dish for everyone, cells, that never resets. The server runs the simulation every seconds and every browser keeps an exact copy, so everyone sees the same dish.

    • Cells eat, divide and fight. Each cell has energy. Food grows back in empty agar, and dead cells feed the soil.
    • Germ’s feeding ground. The dashed ring under Germ has more food, and every cell there is worth × points in the standings.
    • The phage. When a kingdom holds more than of the dish, a virus strikes it about every minutes. Infected cells flicker and die; defense slows the virus.
    • Blooms. Every few minutes a patch of rich food appears somewhere, so a full dish keeps moving.
    • Big strains pay more. The larger a strain’s share of the dish, the more energy it burns, so no one can freeze the dish forever.

    Strains and kingdoms

A strain is your bacterium: an 8×8 cell drawing, a color, a kingdom and gene points spread over speed, attack, defense and growth (each from to ).

Each kingdom beats the next one with a +50% edge in combat. Strains of the same kingdom never eat each other, so the standings are a fight of three alliances.

    Landing and trading

    Land a designed strain

    Or just buy $GERM

Every buy of 0.01 SOL or more lands a colony for the buyer. The bigger the buy, the bigger the colony. Your wallet always gets the same strain: its name, color, pattern and genes come from your address.

    Sells wither colonies

Every sell makes the seller’s colonies lose cells: about 6 cells per 0.01 SOL, 600 per 1 SOL.

    Treasury

Landing fees go to the treasury wallet. The treasury buys back $GERM and burns it. Every buyback and burn is a public Solana transaction, and the Treasury panel on the site lists them with links to Solscan.

    Fairness

    • The server is the only real dish. Browsers replay the same commands with the same deterministic simulation and check a checksum.
    • Landings are paid on-chain: the server checks the payer, the amount, the memo and that the signature was never used before.
    • Evolution comes only from real $GERM trades seen on Solana, each counted once.
    • The RPC key stays on the server. The treasury key is never on the server.

    Questions

Do I need to land a strain to play?

No. Buying $GERM lands a colony for you automatically. Landing a designed strain lets you pick its look, kingdom and genes.

    What happens after stage 100?

Generation ∞ begins. Each new stage is a random mutation, and every 10 mutations Germ moves into a new vessel. There is no last stage.

Can Germ go back a stage?

No. Points only grow: sells add fewer points and push mutations toward armor, but never take a stage away.

    Why is my colony gone?

Other strains ate it, the phage hit your kingdom, or sells withered it. Land again or buy to bring it back.

    Is this an investment?

No. Germ Evolution is a game. There are no payouts and no promised returns.
